Very decent menu variety for a small town. Everything we ordered, we very much enjoyed and cocktails were good, too. And very friendly servers.

Embers was recommended by the staff at the Cobblestone Inn. Great food, good variety, excellent service and a homey atmosphere. This was a nice way to end the day after a long drive from Jackson WY on our way home from vacation.

Nice lighting and a very homey feel. I was very satisfied with my meal and service. The salad dressing was exceptional. I look forward to coming back.

Awesome collection of tractors and memorabilia. I was able to thoroughly photograph a model that I am restoring. Able to walk all around to see from all directions. The staff and owner are very knowledgable about all of the models and very friendly.

Amazing staff, the deep fried Catfish was delicious and fresh! I loved the Decor of the restaurant, very 50's!

Good quality homemade food, a locals hangout. Blink and you'll pass it, but a good place to stop and rest a bit.

Just ok food, inattentive wait staff, 20 minutes to take our order and they were not busy.

Basic place with a large menu of good Iowa food, in other words, much fried and all average. Servers were nice. Dirty saucer and napkin holder. I'd stop again.

I wanted to sit down and write this review and give credit due where it's due. Presently staying next door at the motel the Avoca Inn. Stopped in and the Gals were taking down Christmas ornaments. Met Debbie and the Owner Rosanne. Both down home warm and friendly ladies who treat their Customers Good. My overall impression of this place is a good one. Clean well put together little place. Very American and very Mom and Pop. Great Food and good service and Affordable.Highly recommend all Travelers coming through Avoca Iowa to stop in and sit a while and enjoy. It's right off of US Highway 59 and Interstate 80. Got some good Feelings about this place. We as Americans need to support our Local Mom and Pop Small Businesses and realize that they are becoming fewer and fewer as the years go by.. Let's Support them and give them all the business they can get. Highly recommended. Thumbs up to Embers!!👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸

Good food, excellent price. An entire meal is like 6 dollars. Feels like a restaurant and bar straight out of WW2. Would recommend for the weary traveler.

It is like a throw back to the 50's. The ambiance is wonderful and the food is even better. The staff is friendly and cheerful. An overall fantastic dining experience.

So happy they are open during these stange times. We were there only customers in the restaurant and the service was great. My chili dog was large, gooey, and delicious.

We liked it. Food is tasty and simple American fare. Service isn't always super awesome, but the servers are nice. Prices are fair. Decor is outdated and kitschy, but who cares? If you're in western Iowa and need a good meal, I recommend The Embers Restaurant.

Quaint little place :) If you're tired of big city places with no character, go here. The inside of this place was old fashioned, typical mom and pop type of restaurant. The food was great, my husband and ordered burgers, soup and fries. All delicious :) the pricing was wonderful, a few dollars less than other big name burger joints. Wonderful place, wonderful food.

Appetizers are good, service was good, the only thing keeping from a 5 star rating was the quality of the burgers... both greasy to the point the bun was saturated with the grease. Took bottom bun off and food was good. Good place to stop for a quick bite.
